Solar Engineer/Scientist - Sr. Analyst
Oakland, CA
The Solar Engineer/Scientist Analyst will contribute to the
company's R&D efforts by providing answers to complex
technical questions through application of superior analytical /
modeling skills. He/she will also lead instrumentation and
data acquisition projects.
-Simulate and optimize complex systems, focusing on PV generation
installations.
- Identify system requirements
-Plan system development
-Supervise and coordinate coding efforts.
-Design and implement PV performance metrology systems
-Compile functional requirements for metrology systems.
-Determine specifications for the complete metrology system and its
components.
-Select subcontractors - supervise and coordinate their efforts.
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements
-MS in Electrical Engineering, Control Theory, Engineering Physics or
equivalent. Ph.D. preferred
-Demonstrated aptitude to reduce challenging technical issues to
fundamental principles and resolve them using analytical skills and
simulation tools.
-Strong experimental skills, combined with good sense and an ability to
propose and implement practical solutions.
-Track record of planning and executing complex technical projects spanning
multiple disciplines.
-Strong communication skills, ability to interact constructively with
scientists, manufacturing engineers and non-technical audiences.
