Reporting to the General Counsel, provide project legal expertise and support to staff
in the development, execution and administration of wind power projects.
Develop, review and recommend changes on legal aspects of project documents.
Participate as necessary in the negotiation and completion of various project agreements

and other contracts. Manage outside project legal resources as assigned to ensure efficient and
effective completion of tasks. Support project documentation and compliance functions.
Coordinate efforts with other corporate legal and senior management staff
regarding corporate and project requirements to ensure maximum value and
appropriate risk management.

Identify critical project risk issues and make recommendations.

Law degree (J.D.) 

Licensed Attorney.
Experience in counsel capacity or comparable law firm experience.
Prior experience working in the energy industry, including the development
and construction of a power facility; wind power experience is a plus.
Project finance, construction contract, and energy project experience a plus.
Prior experience dealing with power purchase arrangements; tax credit
sales experience also a plus.
Ability to identify risks and propose alternative structures to mitigate risks.
Ability to handle multiple projects
Experience successfully managing outside counsel
Ability to work successfully in a dynamic team environment
Experience in corporate transactions with primary focus in project
financing or sale processes
Prior experience in energy project management
