Description: Senior Counsel - Wind Energy
Chicago, IL
Senior Counsel, Wind Energy reports Group General Counsel.
Provide a broad range of general corporate legal support for group
companies.
Negotiate and draft various commercial agreements related to the wind
industry
Assist in management of stock and debt finance transactions, mergers and
acquisitions, corporate governance matters and compliance and disclosure in
connection with SEC and stock exchange rules
Provide practical accurate and cost-effective legal advice that furthers
business strategies/objectives
Develop vendor and customer negotiation strategies and provide
standardized documentation and policies.
Counsel business associates on contract compliance issues and develop and
refine company policies and procedures and conduct training regarding
policies.
Manage legal and business risks and assist with managing pre-litigation
dispute resolution.
Qualifications: Experienced legal practitioner with at least several years of transactional
and project management
experience. Law degree and a law license in good standing.
A range of legal experience is preferred and in-house experience is also
preferred.
Proven record of commercial awareness, and be able to demonstrate
high-quality contributions to business strategy and delivery.
