Product Development Manager - Electronics
Mountain View, CA
Basic Description
Position is a part of the specialty materials, the electronic materials
small business
unit (SBU) and develops/ produces advanced materials for production of
integrated
circuits and other electronics products such as solid state lighting.
Products include
purified and formulated surface conditioning chemicals, dielectrics and
enabling
photolithography materials, sputtering targets and thermal packaging
solutions.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
-For the commercial development & execution of business plans a global
electronic polymers business with strong emphasis around product line
growth
and profitability.
-Product line profitability: develop implementation and execution of
commercial policies for pricing, consignment, commercial terms.
-Strong and effective working relationships within the company including the
electronic material's cross functional organizations , finance, R&D,supply
chain, marketing, and regional Sales
- Execution of an annual operating plan
-Work closely with program managers to manage and prioritize new
product development through effective portfolio management.
-Key Account strategy ensuring customer satisfaction
-Partnership with Supply Chain to ensure strong record on quality, delivery,
and supply chain responsiveness
-portfolio management & licensing plan as necessary
-Product life cycle (i.e. from commercial ramp to maturity)
-Global field customer support program manager teams
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

-Planning: ability to define the problem/ issue and marketing research
objectives, charter and resource marketing research effort to create
winning
business strategies
-Value management and pricing: Analysis of market dynamics and value
proposition to demonstrate benefits and price the product offerings.
-Product development: ability to secure cross-functional team input to
business plans / demonstrates ability to influence others without a direct
reporting relationship
-12 years of Marketing and/or Sales and/or Commercial and/or technical
product management experience. Experience in semiconductor or related
high-tech industries strongly preferred. Prior P&L responsibility strongly
desirable.
-BS in Chemistry or Engineering; MS or PhD preferred but not required,
especially if supported by strong semiconductor industry background
combined
with commercial/marketing / P&L exposure.
