Senior Applications Engineer
So.Palo Alto Area, CA
Summary:
This position is responsible for analyses and qualification of different
photovoltaic technologies. Set up and maintenance of photovoltaic test
and characterization equipment, and the development of new methods
and tools for characterization in compliance with existing industry
standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Research solar photovoltaic systems with focus on
testing, modeling, simulation and evaluation of distributed photovoltaics.
Design and implement applications for photovoltaic characterizations.
Interact with customers and identify new trends and methods in photovoltaic
test and characterization.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) and 7 years
related experience in engineering with a strong background in physics,
semiconductors, spectroscopy, and optics. Experience with lasers,
photonics/electro-optics instruments desirable. ·Experience with C/C,
LabVIEW and/or Windows programming a plus. · Must be a self-starter.
Must be able to take high-level direction and work on projects as a
team member and as an individual contributor to complete
assigned tasks.
