Senior Automation & Materials Handling Manager
Austin, TX
The Sr.Automation & Materials Handling Manager is responsible for
automation and control systems design, specification, simulation,
and start-up assistance. Programs and tests various pieces
of automated machinery. Implements specialized techniques and
approaches to handle automation projects. Partake in maintenance
and repair operations on automated systems and write technical
reports in support of constant improvement. Coordinate and supervise
the execution of maintenance works related to automation and
instrumentation at short notice with lower cost. Partake in design and
realization of complex equipment projects related to automation
and industrial electronics.
Control Systems Integration: providing integrated process
control and factory automation systems; including specification, design,
programming, implementation, validation, startup and optimization using PLC,
DCS, hybrid, and PC-based systems. Ensure efficient and proper working of
automation systems; Coordinate and control the programming of Programmable
Logic Controllers (PLCs); Propose and execute program change; Analyze
project requirements to work out specifications and diagrams of principle of
automation systems to be set up; Define and manage all technical and
financial resources necessary to realize automation or instrumentation
projects; Lead and coordinate activities of maintenance operations teams,
distribute and control tasks; Train and coach collaborators in executing
tasks. Determines the most efficient layout of industrial equipment for the
manufacture of company products. Performs ongoing maintenance tasks,
repairs, and upgrades on industrial equipment.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
8 years Automation System Engineering Experience / BS (degree relevant)
In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of automation and industrial
informatics
Knowledge of industrial programmable logic controllers
Ability to develop planning, program documentation.
Leadership Experience, at least 5 years.
Computer skills: Windows NT, MS Excel, MS Access and MS
