Responsible to Supervise Facilities Managers & Industrial Engineers
Global Manufacturing Project Manager is part of the Global Manufacturing
Operations leadership Team and is also responsible for the management
of the R&D team in supporting successful launching of new manufacturing
operations both domestically and internationally. The Global Manufacturing
Project Manager will develop economic models, conduct site selection,
localize design, oversee construction, equipment installation and
commissioning.
This role is responsible to ensure that new manufacturing operations launch
on
schedule and within budget. Once operational, this position will be
responsible
for the global coordination of facilities services at each site
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Manage projects from conception through delivery of production
working closely with the VP of Business Development, external partners,
local entities, company operations, supply chain and engineering personnel
and outside vendors.
-Coordinates with consultants and other parties for site selection and
incentive negotiations
-Ensure each new facility incorporates the benefits learned from prior
facilities and anticipate technological developments needed to insure new
product launches.
-Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and
workflow,
and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
-Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and
tooling
to ensure efficient production methods.
-Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for
purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products
according
to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to
provide information for management decisions.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor's degree relevant is required, Masters (MS or MBA) is preferred
-12 or more years technical industry experience, 7 or more years global
operations or technical management.
-Demonstrated success in all aspects of manufacturing startups and
conversions.
-A Proven problem solving, team member who thrives in a multidisciplinary
environment
