Senior Applications Renewal Consultant

The position joins an internation consulting firm in China providing B2B
consulting, process design work and the application of technologies.This is
a stimulating opportunity as each project presents a new challenge and will
give you exposure to new clients, business issues, technologies and people
in the region. The successful candidate will be able to challenge
conventional thought, offer unique perspectives and conceive more innovative
solutions for the consulting company's business clients. Working as a
consultant the position will build core business, technology and industry
expertise helping to deliver world-class business and technology solutions
that enable clients to become high performance businesses. A Senior
Applications Renewal Consultant must be a professional who has an interest
in how business processes work and interact. In addition, the Senior
Applications Renewal Consultant needs to apply their skills in project and
program management while exhibiting leadership in process re-engineering and
implementation of process, technology, and organizational change. The
position consultant will also need to have a working knowledge of the
industry and/or the functional areas they serve.
Job Description
Technology Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering
technology innovation and providing the backbone of our systems integration
business. The Application Renewal professionals develop and deliver
solutions for harvesting the value and extending the life of clients'
existing IT assets in order to decrease costs, improve business flexibility
and stability and respond to changing business requirements.
Basic responsibilities :
Driving, supervising and reviewing technology diagnosis and assessment
activities
Identifying opportunities for technology-related improvement based on
benchmark data and doing high-level cost benefit analysis
Developing a high level design which supports a robust technology solution,
taking into account the user requirements, technical requirements, etc.
Driving technology architecture and infrastructure design activities
Reviewing and supervising design components
Developing design and transition approaches
Driving and supervising technology build, test and deployment activities
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting application development
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Education:
-Position requires experience with with one or more major technologies such
as J2EE, .Net etc.
-8+ Years industry Relative Knowledge (preferable in Res., Prod, and PS)
including hands on experiences in enterprise system planning and
application architecture design
-Specialized skills in 2 or more areas:
o B2Bi (Architecture, Products, Technologies - RossetNet, ebXML, etc.)
o ERP (SAP/Oracle) related architecture planning and design
o SOA design and implementation
o Business Intelligence (OLAP, Data Mining, etc.)
-Portal/Content Management/Document Management
-Experience with business requirements analysis and business value
proposition
-Experience with large IT transformation program and project management is
preferable
-Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
-Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving
environment
-Desire to work in an information systems environment
-6 or more years in Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral)
and interpersonal skills
Travel 30% , required
