Field Engineering Supervisor

      Provides day-to-day supervision of electric field planners and
clerks.  Supervises employees in processes of service work, service
administration, field planning, safety process, work order/AE processing,
use of CMS/WMS, obtaining/expediting construction materials, joint
facilities billing, customer billing jobs and assist during storm
restoration. Resolves customer complaints related to engineering.
Responsible for technical support for the engineering, construction,
operation and maintenance of all electric facilities in the division.
Develops cost estimates and customer contributions associated with capital
and maintenance projects necessary to serve new large loads or to enhance
the reliability and operability of the electric system. Applies and
interprets codes, standards, regulations, tariffs, and procedures.

      Requirements:
      1. Plan, schedule, assign, train and appraise the work of subordinates
doing delivery system design work. Develops employees to enhance
professional values and effective performance. Identify and arrange for
necessary training.

      2. Plan, organize, coordinate and control projects by providing
liaison with customers, other sections, departments, vendors, government
agencies, property owners, and other utilities.

      3. Review, recommend or approve work orders and major projects.
Provide solid justification. Prepare Financial Models. Oversee preparation
and completion of document requirements and effective processing of all
division work orders making proper use of CMS or WMS. Monitors budget in
area of responsibility and oversees personnel to ensure efficient use of
resources.

      4. Review project designs before and during construction to determine
best economic design, apply appropriate standards, codes, and tariffs and
develop best construction approach for electric projects. Analyze
engineering alternatives and provide valid justification for projects.
Accesses and tracks work requests in progress on WMS.

      5. Provide technical guidance in response to requests by collecting,
investigating and analyzing data, testing and verifying information, and
developing solutions

      6. Investigates and resolves customer inquiries and complaints,
equipment or operation problems, and provide solutions under limited time
constraints.  Develops employees to enhance personal and professional value
to the Corporation and community.

      7. May assist with restoration efforts during storms and other
emergencies.
